Denisa Allertova has made light work of Carla Suarez Navarro to reach the second round of the US Open.
The 22-year-old romped through in straight sets with a 6-1 7-6(5) win as she advanced past the opening round of the tournament for the first time.
Allertova made a bright start to the match and broke her opponent in the second game, before breaking her once more to take the opening set in 27 minutes.
Suarez Navarro hit back in the second set with an early break, but Allertova came up with a break of her own in the seventh game.
The Spaniard then took a 5-3 lead and was given the chance to serve for the set, but she was broken once again and the match headed into a tiebreak.
Allertova then raced into a 3-0 lead in the tiebreak, and although Suarez Navarro fought back to level at 5-5, the Czech won the next two points to seal her place in the next round.
