Novak Djokovic has safely progressed through to the US Open third round courtesy of a 7-6(2) 6-2 6-2 win over Benjamin Becker.
Becker looked to be on course for a shock win in the first set when he broke Djokovic to put himself in a 5-4 lead, but the German failed to take advantage of two set points as Djokovic broke back in the very next game.
The set eventually went to a tie-break, which Djokovic made short work of as he took it 7-2.
The number one seed then made a perfect start to the second set by breaking Becker in the first game, while another break in the seventh allowed the Serb to serve out a 6-2 win.
Djokovic squandered two break points in the opening game of the third set, but eventually broke Becker twice in succession in the fifth and seventh games to win the set 6-2 and take the match in straight sets.
