Rafael Nadal has reached the fourth round of the US Open after a straight sets win over David Nalbandian.
The reigning champion was made to work as Nalbandian served for the first set, but the Spaniard fought back to take it to a tie-break, which he won 7-5.
The 10-time Grand Slam winner made easy work of his Argentine opponent in the second, defeating him 6-1.
After an exchange of breaks in the third, Nalbandian double-faulted on his serve to set the world number two up with a match against Gilles Muller.
