Petra Kvitova booked her place in the quarter-finals with a straight sets win over Carla Suarez Navarro.

The former champion beat the Spaniard 7-6 6-3 in less than 90 minutes.

She will face either Kirsten Flipkens or Flavio Pennetta in the last eight.

Good morning! The 2011 ladies champion Petra Kvitova will be heading out to court three shortly, where she'll look to seal a place in the last eight for the second year in a row as she takes on Carla Suarez Navarro.
Wimbledon has been the Czech players' strongest of the Grand Slam on recent years, having reached at least the quarter-finals since 2010. Last year, she had semi-final appearances at the French and Australian Opens, but was unable to match that this year, exiting in the second and third round respectively.
The players have just walked onto court. They'll be going through a warm-up before getting this match underway.
This will be Suarez Navarro's first appearance in the fourth round at SW19. Her previous best performance was in 2009 when she made round three. The Spaniard has two quarter-final appearances at Grand Slams, having made the last eight at Roland Garros in 2008 and at the Autralian Open in 2009.
Kvitova had a difficult match in the third round. At one set all, her match against Ekaterina Makarova was suspended because of poor light, and she had to come back on Saturday to finish the match.
Suarez Navarro has progressed through the tournament with ease so far, dropping just one set in her three matches. She's only beaten Kvitova once before, but they have never met on grass before.
Right then, the players are ready to get the match underway, with Suarez Navarro to serve first.
Kvitova claims the opening point of the match, but Suarez Navarro makes some brilliant serves to force a couple of long returning from the eighth seed, before clinching the game with an ace.
Kvitova opens the game with some strong forehands from the back of the court, but mis-hits a volley before smashing a backhand into the net. A long forehand from the Czech player gives Suarez Navarro a chance to take an early break, but a big serve helps her to deuce. Kvitova forces advantage, and seals the game with a brilliant forehand winner from well inside the baseline.
Suarez Navarro is serving well at the start of this match, resulting in some poor returns from Kvitova. The Spaniard takes a 40-15 lead, before a long forehand from the former champion hands her the game.
Kvitova is well in control of a rally early in the game and comes into the net looking to volley, but she fires the ball well long. She's made a couple of mistakes at the net already in this match. At 30-30, the eighth seed blasts the ball long again, giving Suarez Navarro another break point, but a poor return against Kvitova's second serve takes the game to deuce. Two long shots from the Spaniard allow Kvitova to escape with her serve in tact, but it's been a less than impressive start by the former champion.
Suarez Navarro misses a couple of shots down the sideline to give Kvitova an early advantage. Suarez Navarro fights back with some well-placed serves, but a clumsy forehand finds the net to bring up deuce. Kvitova twice finds solid forehand winners to keep herself in the game, but eventually hands Suarez Navarro the hold with a poor return to the net.
Kvitova finally looks in control on serve, making some superb deliveries before moving well behind the baseline to wrap up the game with a stunning forehand winner.
Suarez Navarro takes a 40-15 lead by getting the better of Kvitova in a 17 stroke rally, before sealing the game with an ace. Kvitova has not been able to put her opponent under any real pressure on serve so far in this set.
Suarez Navarro defends well from the back of the court, but allows Kvitova to edge ahead by smashing her forehand long, before slicing a backhand into the net.
It's an easy hold for the Spaniard as Kvitova misses four returns in a row. The Czech has only made just over half of her returns so for in this match.
Suarez Navarro makes a strong start to the game, claiming the opening point with a solid cross-court return. However, she makes a number of errors on the return to make it a comfortable hold for the eighth seed. It's starting to feel like this set is heading towards a tiebreak.
BREAK! Suarez Navarro makes a clumsy mis-hit from the back of the court, giving Kvitova a chance to break. The pair get into a prolonged rally, with both looking to dominate from the baseline, but the Spaniard hits her forehand low, allowing Kvitova to edge ahead in the opening set. The former champion will serve for the set next.
BREAK! A superb forehand from Suarez Navarro forces the Czech player to lose her footing along the baseline. The Spaniard comes into the net on the next point, and delicately volleys the ball past her opponent. Kvitova plays a brilliant cross-court forehand, but the 19th seed shows impressive pace to get the ball and bring up three break points, and she seals the game with a chip down the sideline, sending the first set to a tiebreak.

Kvitova made a strong start to the tiebreak, claiming a minibreak when Suarez Navarro fired her forehand long, but the Spaniard got back into the breaker when the Czech made a double fault, before a couple of errors from the 19th seed handed Kvitova the set.
Kvitova is serving well at the start of the second set, forcing two poor returns from Suarez Navarro early in the game, but a double fault from the Czech keeps the Spaniard in the game. A superb volley from the former champion helps her edge ahead again, with Suarez Navarro dropping her racquet while trying to make the return, before another poor return from the Spaniard ensures a hold for Kvitova.
Kvitova's returning really was poor in the opening set, and it's not got any better in this second set. She misses the first three returns, before a poor shot at 40-0 down allows Suarez Navarro to slice her backhand past the Czech.
Kvitova opens with her first ace of the match, but scuffs her forehand into the net on the next point. The former champion manages to find another ace, before Suarez Navarro slices her backhand long. The Spaniard ups the pace on her ground strokes to keep herself in the game, before a superb backhand from the baseline leaves Kvitova scrambling at the net to bring up deuce. A wild cross-court forehand gives the Spaniard a chance to go a break up, but a mis-hit finds the net. An ace gives Kvitova advantage, and she manages to hold with Suarez Navarro finding the net.
Kvitova makes another couple of poor returns at the start of the game, but manages to chase down a lob from the Spaniard, making a brilliant forehand from the back of the court. The 19th seed looks well in control in a baseline rally, but Kvitova finds a stunning cross-court backhand to take the game to deuce. Two long forehands from Kvitova ensure that Suarez Navarro holds serve.
Suarez Navarro falls behind the baseline, with her right leg sliding from underneath her, but she avoids injury. At 40-0 down, the Spaniard comes into the net, making a superb backhand volley, but a stunning forehand effort from Kvitova left her opponent stretching, and she could only return the ball to the net.
BREAK! Suarez Navarro is fortunate when her forehand strikes the net chord, but Kvitova is able to rush into the net and make a brilliant drop shot. Some brilliant footwork from Kvitova helps her bring up two break points, and she clinches them with Suarez Navarro lobbing her forehand long.
Kvitova serves well, but a couple of wide forehands help Suarez Navarro bring up two break points. The Czech finds a big serve to save the first, before forcing deuce with a sliced forehand. A lob from Suarez Navarro goes well long to give the former champion advantage, but she makes her third double fault of the match to take the game back to deuce. The eighth seed gets advantage again before getting into a lengthy rally, when a long shot from the Spaniard allows Kvitova to hold. The Czech is just one game from the quarter-finals now.
It's a comfortable hold for Suarez Navarro, as the mistakes return from Kvitova. The Spaniard seals the game with a brilliant sliced backhand.
Kvitova has three match points.

It was a poor final game from Suarez Navarro, as her returning ability deserted her, making it easy for Kvitova to serve out the match.
Kvitova was far from her best. She served well, but was poor on the return, making numerous unforced errors. Had her opponent been stronger today, it could have been an uncomfortable encounter for the former champion.
Kvitova will face the winner of the match currently taking place on court 18 in the quarter-finals. Kirsten Flipkens currently has a one-set lead over Flavia Pennetta.
