Sports Mole brings you live updates from day seven of the Wimbledon Championships in London.
Sports Mole

Good morning and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage from day seven of the 126th Wimbledon Championships in London.

After a thrilling opening to the tournament, players were given some rest and relaxation time yesterday.

On Saturday, Andy Murray booked his spot in the fourth round with victory over the Cypriot Marcos Baghdatis. Meanwhile, David Ferrer, Juan Martin del Potro and Jo Wilfried-Tsonga advanced on the men's side of the draw.

Serena Williams booked her spot in the fourth round, along with defending champion Petra Kvitova and second seed Victoria Azarenka in the women's side of the tournament.

Today, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic appear on Centre Court. Meanwhile, Maria Sharapova, Tsonga, Ferrer and Del Potro are also in action.

Note that play gets underway at 11.30am.

20.05So we'll be back tomorrow for more live coverage on Sports Mole. See you then!

20.00Looks like I'm done earlier than expected but before I leave you I'll provide a summary of the day's Wimbledon headlines...

19.59Djokovic thinks he played "really well" and says it's never easy to take on a good friend. He reveals that he thinks the pair's first match was when they were eight and nine in Serbia. Awww.

19.56He really is a crowd pleaser this Djokovic bloke. He empties some of his bag into the crowd and then pretends to give away both pristine white bags. Lovely.

19.55The two Serbs embrace at the net. Troicki admitted before the match that he was just pleased to reach the fourth round. Even so, he didn't turn up today and would've liked to have put up more of a challenge. Final score: 6-3 6-1 6-3.

19.54GAME, SET AND MATCH! The defending champion moves to a 40-0 lead and three match points. He shoots long with a backhand on the first, does the same with a forehand on the second before crushing an unreturnable backhand to book his spot in the quarter-finals.

19.51He aces to set up game point though and makes his friend serve out the match as Djokovic nets with the return. 5-3 Djokovic.

19.50We're at 30-30 in game eight of the third as Troicki's throws away a 30-0 advantage.

19.49This is the last match of the day. @Wimbledon adds: "Play on the outside courts has been abandoned for the night."

19.48So they'll be starting play an hour early on the showcourts tomorrow because of today's precipitation.

19.47Further bad news from @Wimbledon on Twitter: "No further play on Centre Court tonight after Djokovic v Troicki. Play on Centre Court & No.1 Court will begin at 12pm on Tuesday."

19.47This will be over very soon as Djokovic holds to take a 5-2 lead in the set. One game from victory.

19.45Oh my. The Serbian pair trade angled cross-court forehands before Djokovic thinks 'I've had enough of this' and smashes a forehand over the lowest part of the net at 90mph. Bosh.

19.45Troicki falls to his knees as he fails to capitalise by dumping a backhand into the tape.

19.44It's another chance for the underdog to break back as Djokovic's in-to-out forehand is wide.

19.43Djokovic won't lie down though and Troicki looks in control only for Nole to tickle an angled forehand just out of reach. Deuce.

19.42A rare double fault from Djokovic hands Troicki 15-30 and he has two break points thanks to a lovely drop half-volley that Djokovic acknowledges.

19.39BREAK! It's taken a little longer in the third but the world number one has the breakthrough. Two excellent returns at deuce and advantage are the reason for the break.

19.38This time he doesn't as Troicki serves and volleys effectively.

19.37Here's a chance for Djokovic to move a break ahead in the third...

19.35Djokovic continues to look untroubled on serve as his opponent fails to deliver any tricky (get it?) depth to his shots. 3-2 NoDjo.

19.32"Game Troicki" as Djokovic, for once, pulls a forehand return into the net. 2-2 in the third.

19.31I love Djokovic's cross-court backhand. He delivers another that lands just inside the baseline but this time Troicki is there and returns right onto the opposite baseline to win the point. 30-30.

19.28This is feeling more and more like an exhibition match between two friends as Djokovic makes no mistake with an overhead to take a 2-1 lead in the set. Still on serve.

19.27Not sure how many people noticed that but Djokovic, after one of his serves went long, played a high backhand that bounced on Troicki's side of the net and came back over! Just ridiculous.

19.26And just as I say that Troicki lightens the mood by having a joke with a fan after holding to level the set at 1-1.

19.25The mood seems very sombre on Centre as the crowd realise this one could be over soon and there may not be anymore play today. Remember, the last three nights at the Championships we've had thrillers involving Nadal, Murray and Federer. Djokovic is ruthless and not offering a real contest.

19.22An ace from Djokovic puts him at game point and it's another ace down the centre to move 1-0 ahead. He's doubled his ace total for the match with those two.

19.21This is almost painful to watch. Djokovic is toying with his friend as he shapes to smash a forehand but drops it over the net on the first point of the third set.

19.19Djokovic is boasting a stat of 92% first serves in in that set. That's astonishing.

19.18I thought they might move the Del Potro-Ferrer match onto Centre as it's the only game yet to start. Seems silly as this one looks set to finish in the next half hour or so.

19.17Here's the last tweet from @Wimbledon: "Oh no! The rain's still falling and it's set to get heavier. It's not looking good! Del Potro v Ferrer will be played tomorrow."

19.17SET! No problem for NoDjo as he puts away a drive volley in the most casual fashion. 6-1 the score in the second and Djokovic will serve first in the third.

19.15Djokovic has two set points as Troicki's forehand again lets him down.

19.14Troicki looks down and out already. The world number 34's forehand in particular looks wayward. Djokovic holds to 15 and is within a game of the second at 5-1.

19.11BREAK! He again takes advantage at the first time of asking by slicing a drop shot that Troicki can only poke out on the reach. 4-1 Djokovic in the second.

19.10Djokovic has the chance of a double break after Troicki tries to angle a backhand but it drops wide.

19.07Troicki's making no impression on the Djokovic serve as the defending champion holds to love thanks to some unstoppable forehands. This is really comfortable at the moment. 3-1.

19.06The crowd are passing round a Champagne bucket full of sweets. How odd.

19.04Troicki is on the board in the second after a great couple of points. First he bulleted a forehand down the line before just making a backhand volley back into court. 2-1 Djokovic.

19.02Djokovic comes out on top after another close-range exchange at the net but he can't convert break point this time. Deuce.

19.01Wow, just wow. That's the shot of the match from Djokovic to bring it back to 30-30. Troicki's shot is oh so very low but Djokovic stoops to whip a forehand cross court. Special.

18.59Wonderful backhand up-the-line from Djokovic that Troicki can only watch and admire. We're at 40-0 in no time as Djokovic's forehand is unwavering before he makes no mistake with a volley right under the net. 2-0 Nole in the second.

18.57BREAK! And the world number one earns the early break as Troicki can't get his backhand over the net.

18.56Djokovic has an early break point in the second set as Troicki blazes a forehand wide.

18.55That's a bad challenge from Troicki as he immediately forfeits the point for misjudging. 0-30.

18.53The rain is still falling outside of Centre and there's no sign of any further play in the near future. Not good.

18.52SET! A classic one-two punch seals the set for Djokovic. Just 29 minutes that set took.

18.51Two set points now for Djokovic as he puts away an easy overhead.

18.50Idle backhand from Djokovic means we're level in the game at 15-15.

18.49No problems keeping serve this time as Troicki holds to 15. Djokovic to serve for the opener at 5-3.

18.48Troicki now serving to stay in the first set then...

18.48The cameraman picks out English golfer Paul Casey enjoying the action on Centre Court. Apparently he's not a bad tennis player either.

18.46That'll do for Djokovic as he puts away the simplest of high forehands to take a 5-2 lead in the opening set. Pretty convincing so far from the world number one.

18.45The crowd liked that one. A tit-for-tat rally ends with a delicious crosscourt winner from Djokovic as he moves 40-0 ahead in the game.

18.44BREAK! There's the third consecutive break as Troicki nets a forehand. 4-2 Djokovic. Surely he'll consolidate the break this time?

18.43Djokovic has a pair of break-back points as he delivers two backhand winners.

18.41Two contrasting forehands from Djokovic as he misses an easy pass before hitting a lovely in-to-out winner.

18.41Troicki needs to hold now as I can't see Djokovic squandering another break like that.

18.39BREAK! We're back on serve as Troicki blasts a high backhand return up the line meaning that all Djokovic can do is net. 3-2 Djokovic.

18.38Beautifully done from Troicki with a drop volley at the net. He has two break back points at 15-40.

18.37Hello, hello. Troicki has a glimpse of a break back after two Djokovic errors hand him 0-30.

18.36BREAK! Djokovic converts after a gruelling rally ends with Troicki dumping a backhand into the net. 3-1 Djokovic.

18.35And we have the first break point of the match as another Troicki forehand loops long.

18.35Troicki clips the net twice on second serve, big point this...

18.34Djokovic's length really is impeccable while Troicki's forehand looks far from steady. We're at 30-30 after Djokovic fails to get a lob over his fellow countryman's head.

18.31"Game Djokovic" as Troicki swipes a couple of forehands past the baseline. 2-1.

18.30Djokovic begins game three with a lovely backhand drive volley before pushing the next backhand out.

18.28This is a nice little comeback from Troicki as Djokovic sends a forehand wide before he aces to take the game. 1-1.

18.28Plenty of oohs and aahs from the crowd as a looping Djokovic shot lands on top of the net and drops Troicki's side. He gets there quick enough and dinks a backhand over the net to win the point. Back to 30-30.

18.27A big serve and backhand drive volley see Troicki record his first point.

18.26The worst start on serve imaginable for Troicki as he double faults before missing a simple forehand volley. 0-30.

18.25It's a wonderful start from Djokovic, holding to love with some cracking rallies, the last in particular pleased the crowd as Troicki hunted down ball after ball before a sweep of the backhand from Djokovic sealed the game. 1-0.

18.25As this is still the only game being played, I'll be watching with interest and will let you know of any news of the weather and if play will continue on the outside courts.

18.23Djokovic will serve first. "Play" says umpire James Keothavong - brother of Anne - and we're underway.

18.22The bookies barely offering odds for Djokovic as he has a near-perfect head-to-head record against Troicki. They've played 11 times and NoDjo has won 11 of them.

18.19Here comes Novak to a rousing reception on Centre. Both men will know each other's games extremely well as they play together in the Davis Cup, they'll also be doubles partners at the Olympics.

18.17Next up on the serenity of Centre Court is men's world number one Novak Djokovic. He takes on fellow Serbian Victor Troicki in around ten minutes time.

18.15Uh oh! Here's the latest tweet from @Wimbledon: "We're starting to dislike these weather experts. Apparently more rain is forming and no play forecast for the foreseeable future."

18.13Azarenka's progression means that the quarter-final line up has now been completed. Serena, Kvitova and Azarenka are all in the bottom half and the four women in the top half will see a great opportunity to make their first Grand Slam final.

18.12Azarenka tells BBC Sport that she "really stepped it up" from her previous matches. She adds that the roof being closed does make it different with no wind but that she enjoys the arena whatever the weather.

18.10Here's our report on Azarenka's victory, which was wrapped up two minutes past an hour.

18.09That performance from the Belarusian has sent a real message out to the rest of the women left in the draw. With Sharapova out is Victoria the new favourite for the SW19 title?

18.08GAME, SET AND MATCH! Azarenka 6-1 6-0 Ivanovic

18.07Ivanovic has the chance to win a game but double faults before an Azarenka return winner sets up match point. Ivanovic nets and that's that.

18.06Ivanovic moves to 40-30 and decides to challenge as an Azarenka backhand comes close. Hawk Eye shows us that the ball landed plum on the baseline. Deuce.

18.05Better from the Serbian beauty to level it at 30-30 as she comes out on top after a close exchange at the net.

18.04Azarenka is at 15-30 after Ivanovic pushes an easy backhand volley long.

18.03Thank you, Matt. So you've got me until the close of play today and as you know all I can comment on at the moment in terms of action is the Azarenka match. Looks like we could be finished very soon as the second seed takes a 5-0 lead in the second.

18.00Right, that's me for today. I shall hand you over to my colleague Pascal Lemesre for the remainder of the action. Let's hope that the rain moves along its way!

18.00... but she cannot take it. Deuce.

17.59Better from Ivanovic as she sets up another break point...

17.58Ivanovic passes up the chance to break as she fires wide. The Serbian cannot afford any more unforced errors.

17.56Not good scenes on Centre as feathers fall onto the court from above! It looks a nasty one for the poor bird involved.

17.54More from Davenport: "Ivanovic is not a natural mover. That's an area where Azarenka is head and shoulders above her opponent. She's making sure she's in position for her shots, while at the same time trying to get Ivanovic off-balance. Azarenka is very good from the middle of the court. Once you stretch her to the corners, she can't play her offensive game."

17.54Azarenka breaks once more to lead 4-0 in the second set. This one is over.

17.52Sensational shot from Azarenka as she plants a running forehand just onto the line. Magical stuff from the world number two.

17.50Ivanovic passes up a 40-0 lead as she allows Azarenka back into it at deuce.

17.48And quickly 3-0. Ivanovic has to stop this - and soon.

17.48Wonderful invention from Azarenka as she hits a top-spin lob over Ivanovic to lead 40-0.

17.46More from Davenport: "The amazing statistic about Ana Ivanovic is that she has not been to a Grand Slam quarter-final since winning the French Open in 2008. That's 16 Grand Slams without going past the last 16. It's very important for her to get a good lead in this second set, and get some positive energy."

17.44Azarenka breaks! Ivanovic just cannot get into the match at the moment. This one could be over before she knows where she is.

17.42Azarenka holds serve in the opening game of the second as Ivanovic hits the net. The Serbian must hold here.

17.40Here's more from Lindsay Davenport: "Ivanovic really needs to get back to trying to build points. She's firing shots all over the court and you can't do that against Azarenka."

17.38Still no sign of any action on the outside courts. Rain, rain go away... you know the rest.

17.36Centre Court is just starting to fill up nicely as the second set gets underway. Can Ivanovic respond?

17.34SET! Just like that Azarenka breaks to take the opening set 6-1.

17.32Ivanovic just hasn't really started thus far as she hands Azarenka a 15-30 lead.

17.30Make that 5-1 as she gets the first point on the board to take a comfortable lead in the opening set.

17.29Here we go then. We resume at 4-1 Azarenka.

17.27Still plenty of seats empty at the moment - as expected. Meanwhile, there is no sign of movement on any of the outside courts.

17.25We have some movement. Ivanovic and Azarenka are just exchanging shots on Centre. Let's get this show underway!

17.23Ivanovic and Azarenka have walked onto Centre. However, we are still a few minutes away from the start of play.

17.21The air-conditioning on Centre is just being prepared by the powers-that-be. It is going to be another late night for us this evening!

17.19Update: Azarenka and Ivanovic will return shortly on Centre Court.

17.17Federer has described his back as "ok" in the past few moments.

17.15BBC are just showing a repeat of Federer's win over Malisse this afternoon. The Swiss certainly was not moving freely. Let's hope that his back issue does not hamper his chances this year.

17.12We could have some play in around 20 minutes or so. It is understood that the shower will soon pass.

17.10Kirilenko booked her spot in the last eight with a two-sets-to-one win over Peng. Meanwhile, Radwanska beat Giorgi in straight sets and Kerber demolished Clijsters in two.

17.08Serena Williams also overcame Shvedova in three. Meanwhile, Lisicki beat Sharapova in straight sets.

17.06Paszek recorded a two-set win over Vinci. Meanwhile, Kvitova recovered from a set down to beat Schiavone.

17.04That's it for the men thus far - with three matches currently in progress. We also have three more matches to begin with Baker facing Kohlschreiber, Djokovic taking on Troicki and Ferrer clashing with Del Potro.

17.02Youzhny has booked his spot in the quarter-finals with a three-sets-to-two victory over Istomin. Meanwhile, Federer recorded a three-sets-to-one victory over Malisse.

17.02Let's just have a quick recap of what has happened so far on day seven - starting with the men.

17.00Just the one women's match to complete today. Azarenka leads Ivanovic 4-1 in the opening set.

16.58The Centre Court roof will be closed - but it takes around 30 minutes to prepare. Meanwhile, Fish currently leads Tsonga one-set-to-nil - and Mayer leads Gasquet by the same score.

16.56So we take a break after an hour and nine minutes of Murray. The Scot leads by one set and 3-1 in the second.

16.54Here comes the rain. All four games currently in play have been interrupted. It has been coming.

16.54Weather update: All matches are suspended.

16.52Murray breaks! Cilic challenges the call - but with no such luck. The Scot leads 3-1 in the second set.

16.50Cilic closes the door to level it at deuce. Meanwhile, Ivanovic is on the board at 4-1 against Azarenka.

16.49Murray remains on Cilic's case as the Scot continues to force break points. Can he take one?

16.49Important hold at the start of the second from Tsonga as he staves off break point against Fish. The Frenchman trails one-set-to-nil.

16.47RESULT: Kirilenko 6-1 6-7 6-3 Peng

16.45Meanwhile, strong hold from Murray as he takes a 2-1 lead in the second set.

16.45The weather has been quite kind to us today. Here's a word from Serena Williams on the BBC following her victory earlier: "I didn't feel like it was that wet. I never felt like I was going to slip. I thought about it. I felt around with my shoes. It felt fine to me. I didn't know the other matches had stopped. I was glad we didn't stop."

16.43SET! Mayer has taken the opening set 6-3 against Gasquet.

16.43Meanwhile, Azarenka leads Ivanovic 3-0 in the opening set.

16.41However, Cilic gets himself out of trouble to level it at 1-1 in the second set.

16.39Brilliant hands from Murray as he flicks a delicate forehand over the net. The Scot is well in control of this one now.

16.37SET! Fish has taken the opening set 6-4 against Tsonga.

16.37Perfect start to the second set from Murray as he moves 1-0 ahead.

16.35RESULT: Youzhny 6-3 5-7 6-4 6-7 7-5 Istomin

16.35Meanwhile, Fish will serve for the opening set against Tsonga.

16.35Both players made nine unforced errors and just seven winners in that first set. Not great stats.

16.33... SET! Cilic fires long to hand Murray the opening set 7-5.

16.32Brilliant return from Murray as he sets up three set points on the Cilic serve...

16.32Just as I say that - Ivanovic vs. Azarenka gets underway.

16.30Meanwhile, Kirilenko has broken Peng in the third set to lead 3-2 in the only women's match currently in progress.

16.28Remember, we still have the world number one Novak Djokovic to come today. Also, David Ferrer clashes with Juan Martin Del Potro.

16.26Strong hold from Murray as he moves 6-5 ahead. Cilic must serve to take this one into a tie-break.

16.24Meanwhile, Istomin and Youzhny could go on all night. It remains on serve at 5-4 in the fifth.

16.22Brilliant tennis on Court One as Cilic levels it at 5-5. Is this one heading for a tie-break in the opening set?

16.20Let's go out and about. Fish is up an early break against Tsonga. Meanwhile, Mayer has broken Gasquet in the opening game of their fourth-round match.

16.18Fantastic hold from Murray as he staves off the Cilic pressure to lead 5-4. Meanwhile, Gasquet vs. Mayer is also underway.

16.16However, two poor shots from Cilic allows the Scot to level it at 30-30. This match has not really taken off thus far. It has been ever so bitty.

16.14Murray just struggling with his range in this one as he moves 0-30 behind on serve.

16.14It's clever play from Cilic as he serves and volleys his way into a 40-0 lead on serve - before levelling as Murray hits the net. 4-4.

16.12Meanwhile, Istomin vs. Youzhny remains on serve in the fifth set at 4-4. Those two just cannot be seperated.

16.10Weather update: Heavy showers are heading our way say the BBC.

16.10Much better serving from Murray as he moves 4-3 ahead in the opening set. New balls have been called.

16.08The rain is just starting to get ever so slightly heavier over Court One. Go away!

16.06So there we have it. Federer books his spot in the quarter-final despite obvious trouble with his back. Meanwhile, Cilic holds serve to level it at 3-3 with Murray.

16.06RESULT: Federer 7-6 6-1 4-6 6-3 Malisse

16.04Federer will serve for the match against Malisse. That fourth set has flown by.

16.04Meanwhile, Things are just starting to click for Murray as he claims his third straight game to move 3-2 ahead in the opening set.

16.02SET! Peng has taken the second set 7-6 against Kirilenko.

16.00It's all happening here as Tsonga's match with Baker also gets underway.

16.00McEnroe seems to have inspired Federer. The Swiss leads 5-2 in the third set. Meanwhile, Murray has broken back against Cilic.

15.58RESULT: Kerber 6-1 6-1 Clijsters

15.56Meanwhile, Federer still does not look entirely comfortable on Centre Court. Here's a word from former world number one John McEnroe on the BBC: "Federer just doesn't look like he can move at all. He's hoping these painkillers will take effect. Federer is totally unsettled out there. Something's going on inside there. He's freaking out that he's feeling this way."

15.56Murray finally gets on the board with a hold to love. That's better from the Scot.

15.54Cilic holds serve to move 2-0 ahead with a cool forehand down the line.

15.52Meanwhile, Federer vs. Malisse remains on serve in the fourth set at 2-2.

15.52Murray hits the net at 30-0 Cilic and immediately holds his back. Has he got another problem?

15.50Break Cilic! He does eventually take his chance to move 1-0 ahead in the opening set. Meanwhile, Kirilenko vs. Peng has entered a tie-break in the second set.

15.48But he cannot take it. We sit at deuce in the opening game.

15.46... Murray saves one as Cilic hits the net. However, the Croatian has another.

15.46Sloppy start from Murray as he loses the first two points on his serve before Cilic fires a forehand to set up two break points...

15.44Meanwhile, we are underway. Murray to serve first.

15.44Women's latest scores: Kirilenko 6-1 5-5 Peng, Clijsters 1-6 0-3 Kerber.

15.44Men's latest scores: Istomin 3-6 7-5 4-6 7-6 1-1 Youzhny, Federer 7-6 6-1 4-6 0-1 Malisse.

15.42Meanwhile, it could soon be all over for Clijsters. The Belgian trails one-set-to-nil and 0-2 to Kerber.

15.42SET! Malisse has claimed the third set against Federer. However, the Belgian trails two-sets-to-one.

15.40RESULT: Radwanska 6-2 6-3 Giorgi

15.40Right, we are switching our focus to Murray's match with Cilic. But we will keep you up-to-date with the rest of the action.

15.38And he does. Both hold their serves to love. However, Malisse will now serve for the third set.

15.36It's another hold for Malisse. Federer will serve to stay in the third set.

15.34Meanwhile, Radwanska is serving for the match against Giorgi.

15.32SET! Istomin has taken the fourth set against Youzhny to level the match at two-sets-all.

15.32SET! Kerber has taken the opening set 6-1 against Clijsters. Meanwhile, it's another quick hold from Federer.

15.30Meanwhile, Malisse continues to hold to lead 4-2 in the third set.

15.28Big shock on day seven as Maria Sharapova is eliminated in the fourth round by the world number 15 Sabine Lisicki. Well I did not see that coming!

15.28RESULT: Lisicki 6-4 6-3 Sharapova

15.28Strong hold from Federer as he staves off the pressure to move 2-3 behind. Meanwhile, Youzhny leads Istomin 3-2 in their fourth-set tie-break.

15.26... however, an ace closes the door. 40-40.

15.26Meanwhile, Malisse has another chance to break the Federer serve...

15.24Shock of the day on the cards here with Lisicki serving for the match against Sharapova.

15.22However, three straight points from Malisse extends his lead to 3-1 in the third set. Meanwhile, Istomin vs. Youzhny has entered a tie-break in the fourth.

15.20Just a slim chance for Federer to break back as he moves 15-30 ahead.

15.18Youzhny will serve to take the fourth set into a tie-break against Istomin. Remember, we have just the two men's matches currently in progress.

15.16Federer answers straight back with a love hold of his own. Meanwhile, Sharapova will serve to stay in the match against Lisicki - some turn up there.

15.14And he does. Strong play from Malisse as he takes a 2-0 lead. Meanwhile, Kerber is up an early break in the first set against Clijsters.

15.12But what do we have here? Malisse breaks in the opening game of the third set to take a 1-0 lead. The Belgian simply must hold here to push home his advantage.

15.10In the only other men's match currently in play - Youzhny leads Istomin two-sets-to-one. But the latter leads 5-4 in the fourth.

15.08Meanwhile, another women's match is underway with Clijsters taking on Kerber.

15.07SET! Federer claims the second set 6-1 to open up a two-sets-to-nil lead.

15.05Federer continues his domination of the second set by holding serve to move 5-1 ahead.

15.05Meanwhile, women's world number one Sharapova is in real trouble against Lisicki. The Russian trails one-set-to-nil and 3-0 in the second.

15.03SET! Radwanska has taken the opening set 6-2 against Giorgi. Meanwhile, Federer staves off break point to level it at deuce.

15.03Federer storms into a 30-0 on serve, but three straight points from Malisse gives the Belgian the chance to break back.

15.01Meanwhile, Kirilenko and Peng has resumed with the former leading one-set-to-nil.

15.00Federer has just secured his second successive break to lead 4-1 in the second. The Swiss is running away with the second set.

14.59Thanks for that Liam. Right, let's get straight back into the action.

14.57Quick hold for Federer, who leads 3-1 in the second set.

14.56Result: Schiavone 6-4 5-7 1-6 Kvitova

14.55Schiavone holds against Kvitova, who is now serving for the match at 5-1.

14.54And with one of the wildest shots your ever likely to see from Malisse, Federer breaks! He now leads 2-1 in the second set, with his service game now to come.

14.53Make that 30-40 to Federer. Break point.

14.53It's 15-30 to Federer on the Malisse serve. Chance for a break perhaps?

14.51Meanwhile, Federer, who has held his serve to level up the set at 1-1, still seems to be struggling with a back problem.

14.50It's now 5-0 to Kvitova against Schiavone in the decider. She is now within touching distance of the quarter-finals.

14.49Malisse holds to open up a one-game lead in the second set. Federer now to serve.

14.47All systems go where Federer and Malisse confirm. Fed leads 1-0 in sets.

14.46Defending champ Kvitova now leads 4-0 against Schiavone. The Italian is sure to have some stern words for the officials at the end of this.

14.44Sharapova is also about to return to court. When she does, she will find herself one-set down against Lisicki.

14.43Kvitova holds to open up a 3-0 advantage over Schiavone in the deciding set.

14.40At last Federer and Malisse return to Centre Court! How will Fed's back hold up for the remainder of the match?

14.38Break for Radwanska, who leads 2-0 against Giorgi in the opening set of their round four match.

14.36This will please Schiavone. She has been broken by Kvitova, who leads 2-0 in the deciding set.

14.32A rather reluctant Schiavone returns to serve. Game on.

14.31Radwanska and Giorgi get their match underway.

14.31Kvitova is back on court, but Schiavone is not interested. She is being told she has to play by the umpire, but she is NOT happy.

14.27Oh for crying out loud! Just as I say that, the players take a seat because Schiavone feels that the grass is too slippy. The conditions are not going to improve much.

14.26Defending champ Kvitova and Schiavone are back on court in the decider. Kvitova leads 1-0.

14.25SET! Kirlenko takes the first set against Peng 6-1 before they exit for rain.

14.22A little bit of rain isn't stopping Youzhny and Istomin though. The match is level at one set all, but Youzhny is leading 3-2 in the third with a break.

14.19However, it appears that the rain has now won! Play has been stopped on pretty much every court. Cliff Richard wasn't around when it rained while I was on commentary last week - any chance he has turned up today?!

14.17SET! Kvitova returns to the court to force a deciding set against Schiavone with a 7-5 success.

14.13The rain didn't get the better of Serena, who served out to defeat Shvedova and advance into the quarter-finals. Can she win the title at SW19 for a fifth time?

14.12Result: Williams 6-1 4-6 7-5 Shvedova

14.10Sharapova's match with Liscki has been halted, as has Schiavone vs. Kvitova

14.09The rain has got the better of Federer and Malisse on Centre Court. Both players have returned to the locker rooms as the roof is closed.

14.07Serena Williams will certainly be hoping that the rain stays away! She has just broken Shvedova in the deciding set to take a 6-5 lead. The four-time winner will now serve for the match.

14.06Not wanting to be the profit of doom, but the rain as started to fall at SW19. It's only light at the moment. Hopefully it stays that way.

14.03Afternoon all. Well it's been an entertaining opening couple of hours hasn't it? Let's hope for more of the same as the day progresses.

14.01Right, that's where I leave you for now. I shall hand you over to the wonderful Liam Apicella for the next hour of tennis. See you soon!

13.59SET! Federer secures the opening set 7-6 against Malisse.

13.596-1 as Malisse hits the net. Federer will serve for the opener.

13.58Federer has just found his form at the right time as he moves 1-5 ahead.

13.58SET! Shock on the cards here? Lisicki has taken the opening set 6-4 against Sharapova.

13.58Make that 4-1 as the Swiss hits a powerful ace.

13.58Federer moves 1-0 ahead with a forehand - Malisse quickly levels. However, it's 3-1 Federer as Malisse fires long.

13.56... Malisse saves one with a forehand. However, Federer takes the second to send the first set into a tie-break.

13.56Brilliant from Federer as he sets up three break points...

13.54Sharapova has broken back against Lisicki in the opening set at 4-5. Meanwhile, Kirilenko and Peng are tied at 1-1 early in the first.

13.52Break! Malisse breaks the Swiss as he moves 6-5 ahead. Meanwhile, it is understood that Federer has a problem with his lower back.

13.52Let's go out and about for a moment. Schiavone and Kvitova remains on serve at 4-5 in the second - as does Williams vs. Shvedova at 3-3.

13.50Malisse holds serve as Federer continues to struggle. We sit at 5-5 in the opening set.

13.50Meanwhile, Lisicki will serve for the opening set against world number one Sharapova.

13.48Sensational shot from Federer as he whips a forehand down the line, but he is definitely not moving well.

13.46Federer is not serving well here. However, it's good enough to hold as he moves 5-4 ahead. We are still not sure as to the exact extent of his injury.

13.44SET! Istomin wins the second 7-5 against Youzhny to level the match at one-set-all.

13.44Quick hold from Malisse as he levels it at 4-4. Federer does not look happy.

13.44... and we resume play at 3-4 Federer in the opening set. Meanwhile, another women's match is underway with Kirilenko taking on Peng.

13.42Here comes Federer back onto Centre...

13.40Still no play on Centre. Meanwhile, Youzhny and Istomin look to be heading for a tie-break in the second set.

13.38Meanwhile, Williams and Shvedova remains on serve at 2-2 in the second.

13.36Interruption: Federer vs. Malisse is interrupted while the former is assessed.

13.36Federer has walked off the court to seek further treatment. We will keep you in touch.

13.36Federer is just receiving treatment for an unknown injury. It does not look good for the Swiss.

13.34Meanwhile, it's an easy hold for Federer as he moves 4-3 ahead. Who will blink first in the opening set?

13.32It remains on serve in the second set between Istomin and Youzhny with the pair locked at 5-5.

13.32Easy hold of serve for Malisse as he moves level with Federer at 3-3. Meanwhile, Lisicki has broken against Sharapova to lead 3-1 on serve in the opener.

13.30Federer does eventually hold to take a 3-2 lead in the opening set. Meanwhile, Lisicki has broken back against Sharapova.

13.28Meanwhile, Schiavone is up an early break in the second against Kvitova.

13.28Malisse has beaten Federer just once in their last 10 meetings - but he is giving the world number three a real match here.

13.26... however, an ace from Federer brings it back level at deuce.

13.26The Swiss then fires wide to allow Malisse the chance to break...

13.24Ever so sloppy from Federer as he twice hits the net to allow Malisse back in at 30-30.

13.22RESULT: Paszek 6-2 6-2 Vinci

13.22Mis-hit from Federer as Malisse closes out his serve to level it at 2-2.

13.22Federer and Malisse are two of five men aged 30 or over in the fourth round of Wimbledon. However, both players are moving extremely freely in the early stages of this one.

13.20Federer does eventually hold to move 2-1 ahead in the opening set. Meanwhile, Paszek will serve for the match against Vinci.

13.18SET! Shvedova has taken the second set 6-2 against Williams. Meanwhile, Sharapova is up an early break against Lisicki.

13.18... however, Malisse joins him. We sit at deuce once more.

13.18Again Federer fires long...

13.16Malisse has the chance to break as Federer hits the net. However, the Belgian follows suit to level it at 40-40 in the third game.

13.16Meanwhile, Istomin has broken back against Youzhny to lead 4-3 in the second set.

13.14Malisse holds. Really important hold of serve for the Belgian as he levels it at 1-1.

13.12Shvedova has turned it around in the second set against Williams to lead 2-5. Meanwhile, Federer and Malisse sit at deuce on the latter's serve.

13.10Some start from Federer as he holds his opening service game to love. Meanwhile, another women's match is underway with Sharapova taking on Lisicki.

13.10Here we go then. Federer vs. Malisse is underway. The Swiss will serve first.

13.10Meanwhile, Shvedova has broken Williams in the second to lead 4-2.

13.08... SET! Schiavone claims the opening set 6-4 against Kvitova.

13.08Kvitova continues to fire long as Schiavone sets up yet another set point...

13.06Women's latest scores: Paszek 6-2 2-2 Vinci, Schiavone 5-4 Kvitova, Williams 6-1 2-3 Shvedova.

13.06Men's latest score: Istomin 3-6 1-2 Youzhny.

13.04However, Schiavone fights back to level it at deuce. Meanwhile, Federer vs. Malisse will soon get underway on Centre.

13.02Williams holds her serve to level it at 2-2. Meanwhile, Kvitova has two break-back points against Schiavone.

13.00We will soon be switching our attention to the match between Federer and Malisse on Centre. But have no fear - we will keep you up-to-date with ALL of the action.

12.58Shvedova holds to move 2-1 ahead in the second set. Meanwhile, Schiavone will serve for the opening set against Kvitova.

12.56Youzhny breaks Istomin in the opening game of the second. The Russian is start starting to take control of that one. Meanwhile, Kvitova will serve to stay in the opening set against Schiavone.

12.54Brilliant from Williams as she thumps a forehand down the line to level it at 1-1 in the second set.

12.54However, Williams's serve continues to come to her rescue as she hits another rocket. 40-30.

12.52Much better from Shvedova as she comes to the net to move 0-15 ahead. She seems to have shaken off that opening set already.

12.50Meanwhile, bright start from Shvedova as she holds in the opening game of the second set.

12.48SET! Youzhny has indeed taken the opening set 6-3 against Istomin after securing a break of serve.

12.48SET! Paszek takes the opening set 6-2 against Vinci.

12.46Meanwhile, Youzhny will serve for the opening set against Istomin.

12.46SET! Williams secures the opening set 6-1 after just 26 minutes of play.

12.44However, Shvedova holds to get on the board at 5-1. Meanwhile, Paszek will serve for the opening set against Vinci after another break of serve.

12.42Meanwhile, Youzhny holds to lead 2-5 against Istomin in the opening set.

12.42Everything Williams has hit has gone in thus far. The American is two points away from securing the opening set.

12.40Meanwhile, Vinci has broken back against Paszek. The Italian trails 2-4.

12.38Williams holds. The American leads 5-0 in the opener. Some start.

12.37Meanwhile, Youzhny has broken Istomin to lead 4-2 in the opening set.

12.36Really good exchange between the two as Williams fires long. We sit at deuce on the American's serve.

12.34Wonderful variety from Williams as she serves an ace before coming to the net to move level at 30-30 on serve.

12.33Meanwhile, Schiavone has broken Kvitova to lead 2-1 in the opening set.

12.31Talking of 4-0 leads - Paszek has completely taken control of the opening set against Vinci. No hanging around from the ladies thus far.

12.30And there it is. 4-0 Williams in the opening set. Just incredible.

12.30Oh my word. What a return from Williams as she thumps a forehand straight onto the line. She has three more break points.

12.28Schiavone holds off the pressure from Kvitova to level it at 1-1 in the first. I can see that one being extremely tight.

12.26Meanwhile, Williams secures another strong hold to lead 3-0. Fantastic serving from the 13-time Grand Slam champion.

12.26It's been some start from Paszek in her match with Vinci. The Austrian leads 3-0 in the opening set.

12.24Break! Williams breaks to take a 2-0 lead in the opening set.

12.24It's been a really strong start from Williams. She is just so powerful. The American has two break points.

12.22Williams does hold as Shvedova fires long. Meanwhile, Paszek has broken Vinci to lead 1-0 in the opening set.

12.20Two aces and a double fault in this first service game for Williams. She leads 40-30.

12.20Perfect start from Kvitova as she holds to love against Schiavone. Meanwhile, Youzhny has also held serve in the opener against Istomin.

12.18Paszek vs. Vinci has also begun. We are finally underway on day seven!

12.17Here we go then. Williams to serve first. Meanwhile, Istomin vs. Youzhny is also underway.

12.15Our first match is underway with Schiavone taking on Kvitova.

12.13Williams beat Shvedova in Toronto in 2009 in the only other meeting between the pair.

12.11Both players are just exchanging strokes as they ready themselves for the action. Meanwhile, we will keep you in touch with the rest of the action in progress.

12.09Remember, Williams's opponent Shvedova did not lose a single point in her opening set against Sara Errai in the last round. Amazing!

12.07Serena Williams is just making her way onto Court Two. Quite a long walk for the American!

12.05Oh no! There are just a few spots of rain emerging once more. However, play should get underway in five minutes.

12.03Update: The outside courts are ready.

12.01There is a great deal of Twitter reaction on the fact that Murray is on Court One. It is a strange one I must admit.

11.59Here's a word from former women's world number one Lindsay Davenport on the BBC: "It's interesting that Andy Murray is on Court One. With the weather the way it is, we don't know if he will be able to finish today. But he was complaining of a few injuries after the win over Marcos Baghdatis - he fell a few times. Perhaps if he doesn't play today, it gives him a bit of time to recover."

11.57Is it fair that Federer and Djokovic are on Centre while Murray must battle on Court One? The former two will not have to battle the elements. Meanwhile, Murray could be on and off this afternoon.

11.55Meanwhile, who will secure the women's trophy is anyone's guess. It really is that open. Four or five could win it.

11.52Following Rafael Nadal's shock exit last week - there is a real chance for someone to make themselves a hero this year. Although, a certain Mr Djokovic will have something to say about that.

11.50The nets are being put up on the outside courts after this morning's drizzle. Let's get day seven underway please.

11.48Serena Williams will soon get underway against Yaroslava Shvedova. Meanwhile, Paszek faces Vinci and Schiavone will take on Kvitova at 12pm.

11.46Also, Lewis has also dismissed suggestions that a roof could be put on any of the outside courts.

11.44Lewis has also insisted that it is "unlikely" play will be switched from the outside courts to Centre should the weather stop play for large periods.

11.42Update: Play on the outside courts will begin at 12pm.

11.40Wimbledon chief executive Richard Lewis has just explained to the BBC why play on Centre has to end at 11pm - due to planning permission and residential concerns.

11.38Play has just been delayed for 10 minutes or so while the courts are prepared. We should have some action underway shortly.

11.36Meanwhile, we have some good news. Rufus the hawk - who went missing on Thursday - has been found. He will resume his Wimbledon duties this week.

11.34Weather update: Today is going to be a cloudy one and a wet one according to the BBC. Those on Centre won't mind!

11.32Remember, both sides of the draw are in action today - all your favourites!

11.30Weather update: We have had a spot of rain this morning - but the covers are being taken off the outside courts.

11.28For all the Murray fans out there. The Scot's match with Cilic is due to get underway at about 3pm this afternoon. Meanwhile, we will keep you up-to-date with ALL of the action.

11.26Let's hope the weather stays with us today. I shall bring you a weather update shortly.

11.24We really do have a wonderful line up of tennis today. Will we have any shocks on day seven?

11.22Just a reminder that Istomin vs. Youzhny is the only early men's start. Meanwhile, three women's matches will also begin at 11.30am.

11.20Denis Istomin against Mikhail Youzhny on Court 18 completes the programme for day seven of the Wimbledon Championships.

11.18Meanwhile, Court 12 pits Tamira Paszek against Roberta Vinci, Maria Kirilenko against Peng Shuai and Brian Baker against Phillip Kohlschreiber.

11.16Court Three is opened up Francesca Schiavone and Kvitova. Meanwhile, Kim Clijsters vs. Angelique Kerber and Richard Gasquet vs. Florian Mayer will follow.

11.14Meanwhile, Serena Williams and Shvedova open up Court Two - before Agnieszka Radwanska takes on Camila Giorgi. Tsonga and Mardy Fish complete the day's action on Court Two.

11.12Maria Sharapova opens up Court One against Sabine Lisicki - before Cilic and Murray do battle. The third and final match on that court is arguably the tie of the day as Ferrer meets Del Potro.

11.10Looking ahead to today's action. Federer opens up Centre Court against Xavier Malisse - before Ana Ivanovic takes on Victoria Azarenka. Meanwhile, Djokovic is last up on Centre against fellow Serbian Victor Troicki.

11.08Del Potro also strolled into the fourth round with a comfortable victory over the dangerous Japanese Kei Nishikori.

11.06Meanwhile, Rafael Nadal's conqueror Lukas Rosol was eliminated on Saturday by Phillip Kohlschreiber. The Czech blamed the defeat on the fact that he had been moved away from Centre Court and its vibrant atmosphere.

11.04Serena Williams also continued her march to the next round with a spirited victory over Jie Zheng - who took the American to three sets in a close encounter. The 13-time Grand Slam winner will face a fourth-round clash against Yaraslava Shvedova - who sensationally recorded every point in the opening set against Sara Erraini.

11.02Meanwhile, Tsonga overcame Lukas Lacko and David Ferrer saw off Andy Roddick to complete a strong line up in the fourth round of the men's draw.

11.00Morning all! Have we recovered from the excitement of the Murray match on Saturday? The world number four beat the Centre Court clock to book a tie against Marin Cilic in the next round. The Scot looked on course for a straightforward win when he moved a break and set ahead. However, Baghdatis hit back to level it at one-set-all. Murray did eventually claim the victory to keep his Wimbledon hopes alive.
