Sabine Lisicki has described her victory over Maria Sharapova at Wimbledon earlier today as "unbelievable".
The young German headed into the encounter against the world number one as the underdog.
However, Lisicki rarely looked in trouble as she knocked out the 2004 champion courtesy of a 6-4 6-3 success.
"It's unbelievable. I've beaten Maria Sharapova for the first time," she told BBC Sport. "I just went for my shots from the first point on. She is a fighter but I am a fighter too.
"I fought to the last point. The last game was tough but I fought it out. I'm happy. I'm getting better with each match. This is my favourite tournament. I love it here."
The 22-year-old reached the semi-finals at SW19 last year.
