Andy Murray has beaten Feliciano Lopez to reach the final four at Wimbledon.
The Scot took the lead in the first set, breaking the Spaniard’s serve in the sixth game and holding his advantage to 6-4. The second and third sets followed the same pattern as Murray secured breaks from which his unseeded challenger could not recover, taking his 6-3 6-4 6-4 victory in two hours and one minute.
“I have played well here pretty much every year,” he said after the match. “I've played a little bit better every year. I want to go further, so I'm really looking forward to the next match.”
The British number one will go on to face either defending champion Rafael Nadal or Mardy Fish in the semi-finals.
