Victoria Azarenka has advanced to the semi-finals of Wimbledon after overcoming Tamira Paszek 6-3 6-4 on Centre Court.
The Belarusian dominated the early stages of the match, and secured a break at 3-4 to take a 5-3 lead in the opening set, before serving it out.
Paszek responded well in the second, and the match remained on serve until 4-4 before Azarenka secured a break to love to move into the driving seat.
However, Paszek responded with a break of her own following a double fault from Azarenka to tie it at 5-5 in the second.
Azarenka rallied to secure the third break on the spin but another break from Paszek sent the second set into a tie-break.
It was the world number two who came out on top as she booked a spot in final four against Serena Williams.
