Marin Cilic has made it through to the Wimbledon quarter-finals by seeing off France's Jeremy Chardy in straight sets.
The Croatian failed to convert a break point during a closely-fought opening set, but he was not made to pay as a 10-8 victory in the tie-break saw him land the first blow.
Cilic then took further control by claiming the second 6-4 before he opened up a 5-4 lead in the third to serve out the match.
It took the 26th seed until his third match point to finally seal the win as Chardy threatened to fight back, though he eventually did so with just over two hours on the clock.
Waiting for Cilic in the last eight will be either Novak Djokovic or Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
