Angelique Kerber has booked her place in third round at Wimbledon with a straight-sets win over Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
The 10th seed, a semi-finalist at SW19 in 2012, was pushed during the first set before eventually prevailing 7-5 6-2 against the Russian.
The opening 10 games of the first set were shared, despite Kerber having more joy on the Pavlyuchenkova serve, but the German finally made her dominance count by breaking for a third time in the final game of the set.
The second proved to be more straightforward for the left-hander, who broke twice and conceded just four points behind serve to ease through to the last 32.
