Vicktor Troicki has battled into the second round after a five-set 7-5 7-6[5] 3-6 2-6 8-6 thriller over Marcel Granollers.
The first set started off evenly matches with games going by the way of serve in the early stages and both competitors managing to find answers from one another's attacks from around the grass court.
Despite a fair beginning, it was Troicki who managed to take a vital break of serve and push on to claim the opening set 7-5.
Granollers tried to force through a comeback in the second set and almost grabbed the advantage, but the Spaniard just slipped in the tie-break to succumb to a two-set deficit.
Despite initially being down and out, Granollers refused to give up and took and early break to overcome his Serbian opponent and take the match to four sets with a 6-3 win in the third.
The Spaniard continued his dominace in the fourth and easily swept through the set, forcing through a fifth and deciding set for the second-round position.
The final set was very tense and tight between the pair as every game went by the way of serve, but it was Troicki who managed to take the vital push and claim the match.
