Fifth seed Stanislas Wawrinka has set up an all-Swiss Wimbledon quarter-final against Roger Federer by seeing off Feliciano Lopez in three hotly-contested sets 7-6(5) 7-6(7) 6-3.
In the first two there wasn't a single break point for either man as serve dominated the encounter.
Tie-breaks would be needed and it was Wawrinka who came out on top in both. In the first he converted his third set point to win it 7-5 before saving four Lopez set points and taking his first at 8-7 in the second.
Wawrinka did manage to break Lopez's serve in the third and the match ended on bad terms after an argument between the two players saw them have an extended discussion while shaking hands at the net.
Australian Open champion Wawrinka reaches his first ever Wimbledon quarter-final and will next face seven-time champion and fellow countryman Federer for a place in the last four.
