Simona Halep has booked her place in the final at the WTA Championships in Singapore after a crushing 6-2 6-2 win over Agnieszka Radwanska in the semi-finals this afternoon.
The Romanian made a quick start to the match, breaking the world number six early on, while barely being tested during her own service games.
While Halep served well, her Polish opponent struggled to find her rhythm, dropping another game before giving the world number four a comfortable hold for the set.
Halep continued to race away with the match early in the second, winning the first three games in a row to go up a double break, putting Radwanska under pressure with a series of powerful returns.
Radwanska pulled a game back to give herself some hope, but was immediately broken again, allowing Halep to see out the remaining games with holds of serve.
The result sets up another meeting with Serena Williams for Halep, with the Romanian having thrashed the world number one 6-0 6-2 in the round robin earlier this week.
