Triathlon gold medal winner Alistair Brownlee has praised the impact of the crowd after he and his brother Jonathan won two medals for Team GB.
Brownlee ran superbly after the swim and bike stages to pull away from Javier Gomez on the final lap and the 24-year-old was keen to pay tribute to the crowd at Hyde Park.
"The race was unbelievable and the crowds were amazing," Brownlee told BBC Sport. "My ears are still ringing from all that noise.
"I am massively proud. The pressure was stacked up and so many things were put to bed today.
"To get two British brothers on the podium, you could not ask for more and with Stuart Hayes we really were a team of three. Today we had a plan and we executed it really well."
Brownlee's gold medal was Great Britain's 19th so far this Games.
