Former UFC middleweight king Anderson Silva has announced that he will visit London this week for a special training seminar.
Silva will host a training clinic at the Lions Pride MMA gym in Croydon, which is the home of British light heavyweight contender Jimi Manuwa.
The 'Spider' confirmed that a scheduled trip to London will include a class this Thursday evening, with spaces now available on request for a fee of £60.
A brief tweet from Silva revealed the surprise visit late last night: "London Hello fans, I'm happy to go and visit Jimi @posterboyjm at his gym @ lionspride_mma on 12th of September 2013 for a special seminar."
The 38-year-old is coming off his first ever loss in the UFC, a second-round knockout defeat to Chris Weidman in July.
Prior to that setback Silva held the UFC middleweight championship for more than five years, defending the title successfully 10 times against the likes of Chael Sonnen, Vitor Belfort and Dan Henderson.
