UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez has declared that Junior dos Santos has "no more excuses" after retaining his title in brutal fashion at UFC 166 last night.
Velasquez emerged victories from his third meeting with Dos Santos in emphatic style, using a relentless attack to dominate before finishing the fight with a fifth-round TKO.
The 31-year-old believes that he has stamped his authority on the Brazilian to leave no doubt over his supremacy in the heavyweight division, admitting that he was "satisfied" with the manner of the victory.
He told MMAFighting.com: "I'm definitely satisfied. Hopefully no more excuses on his part. That's it.
"We don't look for the finish. We just look to keep putting pressure on, keep doing what we're doing, and if the finish happens, it happens. I'm going to keep going until he pulls me off."
In 14 professional contests Velasquez has tasted defeat just once, becoming a two-time heavyweight champ with a pair of successful title defences.
