Australian skier Lydia Lassila has said that she hopes that she has inspired women to "do harder tricks" with her performance in the aerials at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
The 32-year-old would have won gold in the event had she been able to pull off the quad-twisting triple somersault on her last jump.
However, Lassila failed to land and had to settle for third place, while Belarus's Alla Tsuper came first.
"I'm really happy with the bronze," The AP quotes her as saying.
"I came into these Olympics wanting to get the most out of myself and wanting to push the sport. I wanted to lift barriers and inspire women to do harder tricks."
China's Xu Mengtao finished second and won the silver medal.
