Canadian skeleton competitor Mellisa Hollingsworth has said that she is the strongest she has ever been heading into tomorrow's competition.

The 33-year-old, who won a bronze medal in Turin in 2006, is at her third Olympic Games.

Hollingsworth told the Toronto Sun: "My expectations for myself are to have four consistent pushes, four consistent runs. If I can do that with minimum error, because there's no such thing as a perfect run, I expect a good result.

"Coming into these Olympics, I'm the strongest and the fastest that I've ever been with my push and the most consistent that I've been with my sliding in actual World Cup and World Championship performances. I feel very confident and excited to be at these Games.

"Right now I'm the most confident I've ever been in my set up, knowing I'm on the right sled, there's no questions, no looking over my shoulder wondering. I'm the strongest and fastest I've ever been."

Hollingsworth was the favourite for the gold in Vancouver, but finished outside the medals.
