Great Britain snowboarder Rowan Cheshire will be discharged from hospital just 24 hours after being knocked unconscious during half-pipe practice.
The 18-year-old was taken to hospital immediately, where she tweeted pictures of her cut and bruised face early this morning, but despite her injuries, Cheshire will go back to the athlete's village later today.
A statement released by Team GB said: "Cheshire will be discharged today after the doctors were happy with her progress.
"She will return to the Athlete's Mountain Village where she will be looked after by Team GB medical staff.
"Her progress will be monitored on a day to day basis as is standard with concussion and a determination regarding her ability to compete will be made later this week."
The Sochi Games are Cheshire's first experience of the Winter Olympics.
