Great Britain skier Emma Lonsdale has admitted that she has been counting down the days to get her Winter Olympic campaign underway.
The 29-year-old will finally get her Games underway in Sochi after waiting 13 days for her event, when she competes in the half-pipe at the Rosa Khutor Extreme Park later today.
She told the Westmoreland Gazette: "It's been brilliant getting to watch so many events and Jenny Jones getting a medal was massively inspirational.
"But everyday I've been thinking is it time yet and when I got to start training it was a bit of a relief to get back onto the pipe."
Lonsdale is Team GB's only competitor in the half-pipe following the withdrawal of Rowan Cheshire.
