Great Britain curling skip Eve Muirhead has revealed that she wanted to be an Olympian after watching Rhona Martin win gold in the 2002 Winter Olympics.
Muirhead will lead Team GB in the semi-finals of the women's curling when they face unbeaten Canada, and the 23-year-old has revealed that she eyes on matching the achievement of Martin, now Howie who is head coach of the curling team, 12 years ago.
"From that moment, it was what I wanted to do. I wanted to be like Rhona and win an Olympic gold medal," Muirhead told BBC Sport.
Team GB will take on Canada at the Ice Cube Curling Centre later today.
