Olympic downhill skiing champion Lindsey Vonn has revealed that her latest injury setback will not keep her from competing in Sochi in February.
The 29-year-old suffered a partial tear to the anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee during training with the US team on Tuesday ahead of next week's World Cup meet at Beaver Creek, Colorado.
Vonn also tore ligaments in the same knee when competing in the world alpine championships in Austria last February.
"Don't worry guys, this is only a temporary setback," Reuters quotes her as saying.
"Nothing will keep me from picking myself back up and continuing to fight for my dreams."
The American's publicist Lewis Kay revealed that she could be back in action at Lake Louise, Alberta in just a couple of weeks' time.
