Big Show: 'Retirement chants don't harm me'

WWE star Big Show denies that he is not affected by fans chants that call for his retirement during live shows.

WWE star Big Show has insisted that he has no qualms with fans who call for his retirement during live shows.

The 20-year veteran is due to meet Ryback at SummerSlam on Sunday for the intercontinental title, and has had to withstand chants from supporters imploring him to step away from the squared circle of late.

However, the giant, real name Paul Wight, has said that the boos are all part of a WWE show and claimed that he is not unhappy about the way fans express themselves at live events.

He told The Mirror: "Do the chants affect me? No, I think I'm doing my job as a heel (bad guy). I think a lot of it too is just a way for the audience to have fun.

"I mean, let's face it, I don't have people coming up to me in the street telling me to please retire, I have people I meet in person who are thankful for everything I've done and they appreciate it.

"I think that's just the audience having fun and when they chant that, I'm going to react to them and be engaging and have fun with them and tell them I'm going nowhere. I'm going to be a bad guy and react appropriately."

Elsewhere on the card, The Undertaker returns to action for the first time since WrestleMania back in March in a rematch of his 2014 clash with Brock Lesnar.
