Barcelona will aim to put one foot into the quarter-finals of the Europa League when Galatasaray pay a visit to Camp Nou for the first leg of their last-16 battle on Thursday night.

Xavi's side saw off Napoli 5-3 on aggregate in the playoff rounds to make it this far and keep their hopes of European silverware and a return to the Champions League alive.

La Blaugrana warmed up for this contest with a 2-1 La Liga success against 10-man Elche, as Ferran Torres and Memphis Depay cancelled out Fidel Chaves's opener.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the first leg.

Ansu Fati

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Ansu Fati has opted against surgery for his latest hamstring problem, and the teenager will likely not return to action until the end of March at the very earliest.

Sergi Roberto

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: Unknown

In contrast, Sergi Roberto has gone under the knife to address a thigh issue and has spent the past few months recovering, so he could be available for the Catalans before the end of March.

Samuel Umtiti

Status: Out
Type of injury: Foot
Possible return date: Unknown

Samuel Umtiti has also undergone surgery in order to treat a foot injury that he suffered in training, and the defender will not be at Xavi's disposal before April.

Alejandro Balde

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Alejandro Balde has now spent over a month on the sidelines after picking up an ankle injury during a game with the B team, and the left-back will not return just yet.

BARCELONA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Gavi

Possible return date: March 13 (vs. Osasuna)

Gavi collected two bookings in the group stages of the Champions League and picked up his third European yellow card of the season in the second leg against Napoli, so he will serve a one-match suspension this week.
