Tony Pulis and Craig Bellamy are reportedly out of the running for the Cardiff City job.
Former Bluebirds player Bellamy has ruled himself out of contention, while Pulis is not being considered by club owner Vincent Tan, according to BBC Sport.
Cardiff are seeking a new manager following the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who left the club earlier today citing "philosophical differences" as the reason for his exit.
Tan is reportedly considering younger candidates and current members of the club's coaching staff for the managerial hotseat, while former Bluebirds boss Dave Jones has also been linked with the role.
Dundee manager Paul Hartley was named as an early frontrunner to replace Solskjaer, but his club have since dismissed such rumours.
