Sports Mole takes a closer look at how today's Premier League clash between Chelsea and Liverpool unfolded.

Luis Suarez's 70th-minute header was enough to see Liverpool claim a point from their Premier League trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea.

John Terry had put the hosts in front after 20 minutes with a free header from Oscar's corner.

Here, Sports Mole takes a closer look to see if the result was fair.

Match statistics:

Chelsea:

Possession 43%

Liverpool:

Possession 57%
Corners 13
Fouls 7

Was the result fair?

Yes. Liverpool looked comfortable on the ball from the off, but it was Chelsea who looked far more dangerous in the first half. The Reds made big improvements going forward in the second half and thoroughly deserved their point. Although, it could have been far better for them, as Luis Suarez and Jose Enrique were both denied by Petr Cech late on.

Chelsea's performance

7/10. The Blues played well in the first half and probably should have been more than just the one goal in front at half time. Oscar, Juan Mata and Eden Hazard all saw plenty of the ball, while Fernando Torres looked like he was fired up against his former team. However, it looked like they tired slightly in the second half - Oscar in particular. They were going for the goal that would have killed the game off and were beginning to leave space for Liverpool to attack. That allowed the visitors back into the game and Chelsea never really looked like scoring after that.

Liverpool's performance

7/10. The Reds knocked the ball around nicely in the opening stages, but for all their possession they failed to create anything, or even muster a shot on target. They were on the back foot once Chelsea had settled down and began to attack. Joe Allen didn't have his best game in a Liverpool shirt and was caught in possession a few times. Nuri Sahin also struggled to make an impact. Second half, Liverpool were much better. They seemed to carry a bit more of a threat going forward with Sterling and Suarez. Jose Enrique played well down the left, but his last-gasp chance will be running through his mind for days to come.

Sports Mole's man of the match

Luis Suarez: There was no real standout performer today, but the Uruguayan forward worked hard all afternoon and managed to score the equaliser.

Referee performance

Howard Webb didn't have much to do today, unlike other games between these two sides in the past. He kept control of the contest, although there wasn't a bad tackle in the game. He probably should have spotted Suarez pushing Ramires out of the way before nodding in the equaliser and on another day that goal would have been chalked off.

What next?

Chelsea: Roberto Di Matteo takes his team to The Hawthorns to face West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

Liverpool: The Reds host Wigan Athletic at Anfield on the same day.
