Everton boss Sean Dyche aiming for managerial first in Leeds United clash

Everton boss Sean Dyche will be looking to achieve something he has never previously done in his managerial career in Saturday's Premier League clash with Leeds United.

Everton manager Sean Dyche will be looking to claim his first-ever Premier League victory over Leeds United in Saturday's meeting at Goodison Park.

The Toffees, who are currently sat in the relegation zone, are fighting for their Premier League survival after experiencing a disappointing campaign.

They appeared to have turned a corner when a James Tarkowski header guided them to a surprise 1-0 victory over title-chasing Arsenal in Dyche's first game in charge.

The 51-year-old, who has taken over the reins from Frank Lampard, took his side to Anfield to face Liverpool on Monday for what proved to be a miserable evening, as their Merseyside rivals recorded a 2-0 victory following strikes from Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo.

Everton are now preparing for a crucial encounter against a Leeds side who sit just outside the relegation zone and one point above the Toffees.

If they are to move out of the bottom three then Dyche will have to beat Leeds in a top-flight game for the first time in his managerial career.

His previous four Premier League meetings with the Yorkshire side all took place during his time as Burnley boss, resulting in one draw and three defeats.

Dyche has managed to secure at least one victory over all of the other 30 teams he has faced in the Premier League.

Three points at Goodison Park on Saturday would make Dyche the sixth manager to beat 30 teams or more in the English top flight.

The previous five managers to achieve the feat were Arsene Wenger, Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho, Brendan Rodgers and Gordon Strachan. body check tags ::
