Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Fulham.
Sports Mole

Liverpool once again face a Premier League opening-day test against a newly-promoted side as they visit Craven Cottage on Sunday lunchtime to take on Fulham.

Jurgen Klopp's men once again lost out to Manchester City in the two-horse top-flight battle last season but gained a measure of revenge with a 3-1 win in the Community Shield last Saturday.

The Reds sent out a second-string side to face Strasbourg on Sunday and ultimately suffered a 3-0 defeat, and Klopp is not without his injury concerns ahead of the opening day.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with the Cottagers.

Diogo Jota

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Diogo Jota - who has just signed a new five-year deal at the club - suffered a recurrence of a previous hamstring injury in pre-season and has confirmed that he is still a few weeks away from a comeback.

Alisson Becker

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Abdominal
Possible return date: August 6 (vs. Fulham)

Alisson Becker was not ready to return for the Community Shield due to an abdominal problem, but Klopp expects his number one goalkeeper to be fine for Saturday's clash.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

The injury-plagued Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been confined to the treatment room with a serious hamstring injury sustained in the pre-season win over Crystal Palace and could now face up to three months on the sidelines.

Ibrahima Konate

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Ibrahima Konate went off with a blow to the knee against Strasbourg at the weekend and is set for scans on the issue. While Klopp is hopeful that the Frenchman has avoided a serious injury, he will not be available for the meeting with Fulham.

Naby Keita

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Illness
Possible return date: August 6 (vs. Fulham)

Naby Keita missed the defeat to Strasbourg due to illness, and the midfielder is battling to recover in time to make himself available for the weekend.

Curtis Jones

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: Unknown

Curtis Jones also failed to make the squad for the 3-0 loss to the Ligue 1 side due to a muscular issue, and he is set to miss out here.

Caoimhin Kelleher

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: August 22 (vs. Manchester United)

Second-choice goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher aggravated a groin strain in pre-season training, and Klopp has conceded that the Irishman will take another couple of weeks to recover.

Kostas Tsimikas

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: Unknown

Kostas Tsimikas was a notable absentee from the weekend's fixtures after sustaining a knock, and the Greek left-back will not recover in time for Saturday.
