Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini says that he is disappointed his side allowed AC Milan to almost stage a comeback in their 5-3 win.

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini was disappointed that his team allowed AC Milan to claw three goals back during their 5-3 win over the Italian giants.

The Sky Blues raced into a 5-0 lead in the pre-season fixture with just 35 minutes on the clock, but their opponents almost staged a comeback.

"It's not normal that we can be beating Milan 5-0 after 30 minutes," Sky Sports News quotes Pellegrini as saying.

"But I didn't like the last 15 minutes of the first half because I thought we relaxed before the end of the game and in football you can't do that.

"It's better that this happens now though rather than in the Premier League so we can sort out these things before it starts."

City will face Bayern Munich in the final of Audi Cup on Thursday.
