Rangers fitness coach Adam Owen has accepted an offer from new Sheffield United coach David Weir to join the club as assistant manager of performance.
Weir said that he wanted to move quickly in order to land who he believes is one of the best coaches in the fitness side of the game.
"Adam is one of the most respected men in his specialist field and I'm delighted that he's taken up the offer to join us here at Bramall Lane," Weir told the club's official website.
"With pre-season almost upon us it was imperative to get Adam in as quickly as possible to organise at this vital time."
Weir was appointed Blades boss on June 10.
