Stoke City manager Mark Hughes admits that he is "deflated" but pleased with his side after they concede a last-minute equaliser to West Bromwich Albion.

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has admitted that he is "deflated" but pleased with his team's performance after a late Salomon Rondon equaliser for West Bromwich Albion denied them their first win of the Premier League season.

The Potters had led through Joe Allen's second-half strike but were forced to settle for just a point when Rondon's header found the net in the dying moments at the Britannia Stadium.

"I don't feel they deserved to take the three points away from us but they did and we feel a little bit deflated," Hughes told reporters afterwards. "But in fairness, it was a good performance from us. I think we were always the team that was trying to be progressive and get on the front front. We fully deserved to get the three points today, we got one and we have to take it.

"I was encouraged by the performance and we asked questions of them. It's another point on the board. We didn't do too much wrong. I can't complain about our play, they put everything into it.

"You know how hard it is to get points on the board in the Premier League - they are like gold dust, so we've got something for our efforts today. Maybe not totally what we deserved on the face of the 90 minutes, but we'll take it and we move on."

Next up for Stoke, who are now 19th in the table, is a tough trip to Jose Mourinho's Manchester United.
