Alan Curtis "frustrated" by lack of "killer edge" from Swansea City

Swansea caretaker manager Alan Curtis admits that his side lacked a "killer edge" during their goalless draw with West Ham at the Liberty Stadium.

Swansea City caretaker manager Alan Curtis has admitted that his side lacked a "killer edge" in the final third during their goalless draw with West Ham United this afternoon.

The Swans were on top for much of the match at the Liberty Stadium, but they could not find a breakthrough as their poor run extended to just one win in 13 Premier League games, leaving them in the relegation zone at Christmas.

Curtis felt that his side should have had a penalty when a Ki Sung-yeung strike hit the arm of James Collins inside the box, and admitted that it was frustrating not to win a match that he felt his side dominated.

"I was not sure at the time, but when I see it again it looks like a penalty," Curtis is quoted as saying by PA.

"Down the bottom you do not get the decisions you deserve. We just need that good fortune and we are frustrated.

"In terms of possession we were excellent, we looked like Swansea City again. We bossed the game but we just lacked that killer edge up front."

Swansea, who are now two points from safety, welcome West Bromwich Albion to South Wales on Boxing Day.
