Tony Pulis: "We were never a threat"

West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis admits that his side need to find a cutting edge after failing to score in their 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace.

West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis feels that his side never threatened the opposition goal in his side's 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

The Welshman had been happy after being able to pick the team that beat Aston Villa last month but admitted that the side looked almost unrecognisable against Palace.

The 57-year-old is quoted by the Express & Star as saying: "What is disappointing is the difference in the performance of the team, it was the same that played Aston Villa and you would not believe that was the same team.

"The opportunity to start with Jonny [Evans] and getting the team back to what we had against Villa, I was coming here today very optimistic but the performance between that game and the one today was chalk and cheese.

"We have to be more of a threat going forward. Just as they scored Alan [Pardew] was making a few changes and I think one of them was Bolasie, so we had actually done better in the second half defensively but we were never a threat going forward which is the big worry."

West Brom remain just above the Premier League relegation zone in 17th but maintain a four-point gap from Villa in 18th.
