Two goals from Thomas Ince earns Blackpool a 2-1 victory and extend Wolverhampton Wanderers' search for a win to six games.

Thomas Ince's brace has earned Blackpool a 2-1 victory from their trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers this afternoon.

Chances were rare in the first half as both sides struggled to assert their dominance in a tight contest at the Molineux.

However, Wolves took the lead from their first opportunity of the game when Sylvan Ebanks-Blake powerfully headed in Ronald Zubar's inch-perfect cross.

Blackpool improved as the first period progressed and were frustrated when appeals for a penalty were rejected following a challenge on Alex Baptiste by Karl Henry.

However, the away side's anger turned to joy shortly before the break when Ince took advantage of a mix-up between Roger Johnson and Carl Ikeme to slot home an equaliser.

Ebanks-Blake should have scored his second of the game in the early stages of the second half but the striker was denied from six yards by the feet of Matt Gilks in the Blackpool goal.

Both sides looked as though they would settle for a point before Ince secured the points for his side in spectacular fashion.

The former Liverpool youngster found himself in space 25 yards from goal and his fierce effort could only be helped into the top corner by Ikeme as Blackpool snatched the victory.

Wolves searched desperately for an equaliser but their challenge was eventually ended in disappointing fashion when Johnson was shown a red card for violent conduct.
