The Tennessee Titans have taken a 7-3 lead into the break against the NFC South's Atlanta Falcons at LP Field this evening.
Titans quarterback Zach Mettenberger, in for the injured Marcus Mariota, looked to have made a big play for his team midway through the first quarter but the long pass was dropped by Justin Hunter.
Tennessee would go ahead in the second quarter after Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan was picked off by David Bass and on the next play, Mettenberger played the ball downfield to Kendall Wright for the 19-yard touchdown.
Atlanta looked to tie the game just before the break but they had to settle for a Matt Bryant field goal after failing to convert on third down from nine yards away.
The Titans almost had a chance to extend their advantage late in the half but Mettenberger was intercepted by O'Brien Schofield just in front of the endzone as time expired.
The NFC South side's offence have been stifled so far, with a team that manages an average of 30.5 points per game having scored just three against the Titans in the first half.
