The Atlanta Falcons have announced that they have signed two free agent linebackers to their active roster.
Jamar Chaney and Omar Gaither, who were previously teammates at the Philadelphia Eagles, have been brought in as cover for Sean Weatherspoon, who has been placed on the injured reserve designated to return list with a foot injury.
Chaney featured in 44 games over three seasons with the Eagles, recording 161 tackles, while Gaither spent last year with the Oakland Raiders, making 20 tackles.
The Falcons also promoted fullback Patrick DiMarco from the practice squad.
