21 unanswered second-half points have helped the Baltimore Ravens book their place in the Super Bowl with a 28-13 win over the New England Patriots in today's NFC Championship Game.

A tight match came to life in the second quarter when Ray Rice bounced off two tackles to score the opening touchdown for Baltimore.

Tom Brady responded instantly for the Patriots, throwing an 80-yard pass to Wes Welker to help build a 13-7 lead at the half.

The Ravens took control of the match in the second half as Joe Flacco threw for three quick touchdowns to leave the home crowd stunned.

Brady tried to respond but gave up two interceptions in the closing stages as New England failed to score a single point after the interval.

Ray Lewis and the Ravens will now advance to meet the San Francisco 49ers at the Super Bowl in New Orleans on Sunday, February 3.
