Buffalo Bills head coach Doug Marrone says that wide receiver Marcus Easley is the type of player he likes to have on his roster.

Doug Marrone has said that he has admired Marcus Easley's performances during the Buffalo Bills' training camp and pre-season games.

The wide receiver has made the team's 53-man active roster, having spent his rookie season on injured reserve, before starting last season with the practice squad.

The head coach told the team's official website: "That's the one thing I've admired about Marcus. Marcus has really done a lot of good things in camp. We missed a slant on a fourth down, which is a big play, but I give him credit. He comes back and makes a big play on the go for the touchdown.

"That's what you're looking for in players. When adversity hits and you don't make a play what do you do? You know you have to come back and make one and he did."

Easley added: "Every year is a different mindset, especially with the way the season before played out. After they drafted two receivers, you understood what was at stake now. They're coming in ready to play and I'm just trying to make a case for myself."

Easley, who missed the 2011 season after being diagnosed with a heart condition, has recorded 224 receiving yards from 12 receptions and scored a touchdown during the team's four pre-season games this year.
