Josh Gordon has 'lost the trust' of Cleveland Browns teammates

A source from inside the Cleveland Browns locker room is quoted as saying that the team 'feel betrayed' by the behaviour of Josh Gordon.

Teammates of Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon "do not want anything to do with him", according to a report.

The Browns team do not trust Gordon, who was arrested for DWI on Sunday, Bleacher Report reveals.

Gordon is already facing a year-long suspension from football after failing a drugs test earlier in the off-season, and this may be the last straw for a number of Browns players.

"Gordon had promised teammates that he wouldn't be in trouble again. They believed Gordon. They knew of his past issues and felt he was a troubled man but a good man," an anonymous source told the site.

"But now they realise Gordon is sick. Although they want him to get better and they like him, some of them, clearly, also now want nothing to do with him.

"To be clear, the sense I get from those in that locker room is that players sympathise with Gordon. But they feel he can no longer be on the team, because they don't believe he will change his life. Overall, there is a great feeling of betrayal."

Ex-teammate D'Qwell Jackson recently called for the Browns back office to help the star wideout following his latest misdemeanour.

Gordon became the first player in NFL history to record consecutive 200-yard receiving games last season, ending the campaign with 87 catches for nine touchdowns and 1,646 total yards.
