Touchdowns from Mark Sanchez and Jordan Matthews, plus several field goals by Cody Parkey, have helped the Philadephia Eagles to a 23-7 lead against the Dallas Cowboys at half time in today's Thanksgiving Day clash at the AT&T Stadium.
The visitors made the brighter start when quarterback Sanchez burst into the end zone to open the scoring for his side three minutes in.
Once the Eagles had a 1st&goal, Riley Cooper took in another reception just shy of scoring, before Sanchez snuck in when the Cowboys were expecting McCoy to carry.
Eight minutes later, the Eagles managed to get to the line of scrimmage quickly and, without wasting any time, Sanchez found Matthews, who coasted into the end zone to increase his side's lead.
The Cowboys reduced the deficit right at the start of the second quarter, with Murray scoring a touchdown from half a yard away following an encroachment against Trent Cole.
After all the early scoring, the second quarter proved a more sedate affair, although Parkey struck a total of three field goals to extend his side's advantage at half time.
