Philadelphia Eagles move to 9-3 in the NFC East after beating the Dallas Cowboys.

Philadelphia Eagles have moved into the outright lead in the NFC East with a 33-10 Thanksgiving victory over the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium.

The visitors got off to a flying start when Mark Sanchez's two-yard run gave the Eagles an early lead following a high-tempo opening drive.

Dallas struggled against the run in the early stages as LeSean McCoy made a 19-yard run to help set up the opportunity for Philly to extend their early lead. Sanchez then threw to Jordan Matthews for 27 yards as the away team opened up a 14-0 advantage inside the opening quarter.

Tony Romo, who has a 6-1 record in games on Thanksgiving, soon reduced the deficit by guiding the Cowboys towards the Philadelphia goalline before DeMarco Murray rushed into the endzone.

Despite Sanchez producing his first error with a first-half fumble, the former New York Jets quarterback quickly found Jeremy Maclin for a 59-yard completion. That set up Cody Parkey for the first of three field goals before half time as the Eagles led 23-7.

Dallas were given a boost early in the third quarter when McCoy spilled the ball before the hosts recovered and Dan Bailey added a field goal for Jason Garrett's men.

However, McCoy made up for his turnover by running 38 yards to give the Eagles a 20-point lead.

Dallas's chances of a late comeback were hampered when Romo was picked by Kerry Matthews late in the third quarter.

Parkey added another three points in the fourth quarter for Philly, who now move to 9-3 in the NFC East standings, one game ahead of the Cowboys.
