Denver Broncos' Chris Harris expecting greater responsibility

Denver Broncos cornerback Chris Harris reveals that he is anticipating a greater responsibility in his side's defense in the 2015 season.

Denver Broncos cornerback Chris Harris is expecting more responsibility to be placed on his shoulders in the 2015 season in the club's new style of defense.

The Broncos fired John Fox following their exit from the divisional round of the playoffs in the 2014 season, while defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio became the head coach of the Oakland Raiders.

Gary Kubiak was hired as the club's new head coach and Wade Phillips brought in as their new defensive coordinator. From his first impressions of the new scheme, Harris is anticipating that he, along with fellow cornerback Aqib Talib, will be left in a lot of one-on-one battles with wide receivers.

"[The defense] is going to rely a lot more on me and Talib to make a lot of plays," Harris told the club's official website.

"We're going to be out there on an island a lot. It's a lot of responsibility on us to be able to shut our guys down.

"Everybody else is going to be a lot more aggressive. I'm pretty much going to be on an island, I've just got to cover my man a lot in this defense."

Harris recorded 54 tackles, one sack and three interceptions for the Broncos last season.
