Gary Kubiak wants balanced Denver Broncos offense

Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak admits that he wants to see his side become more balanced on offense to ease the pressure on veteran quarterback Peyton Manning.

Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak has outlined his desire to see his side's offense become balanced this season.

The Broncos have relied on the arm of quarterback Peyton Manning since his arrival at the club as the focal point of their attack, which saw them break the NFL record for points scored in a single season in the 2013 campaign.

However, Denver struggled towards the end of last season as the 39-year-old's arm strength began to wane, and Kubiak has admitted that he wants to develop a ground game to ease the pressure on Manning.

"We would like to be balanced," Kubiak told reporters.

"That's one thing that we'd like to be and hopefully we can get back there this week, but to be balanced you have to feel like you're making some headway running the ball and we weren't until the end of the game."

The Broncos beat the Baltimore Ravens in their season opener and face the Kansas City Chiefs in their week two clash on Thursday.
