The Indianapolis Colts have officially placed Reggie Wayne on injured reserve after he sustained a knee problem during the 39-33 win over the Denver Broncos at the weekend.
The wide receiver suffered an anterior cruciate ligament tear that ended his season and a run of 189 consecutive games in the NFL.
The AFC South leaders brought in cornerback Jalil Brown, who had been a regular player for the Kansas City Chiefs in the last two seasons, to take Wayne's spot on the roster.
The Colts are on their bye this week.
