Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles feels that his side showed great character to execute their best play when it was most needed in their victory over the New York Giants.
The Jaguars won for just the second time this season as they came behind from a 21-3 deficit to defeat Tom Coughlin's side as they scored two defensive touchdowns in the second half, while Bortles led his side on a late drive to set up the game-winning field goal from Josh Scobee.
"You've to be able to overcome personal miscues at the quarterback position at times to be able to win games," Bortles told reporters.
"You're not always going to play good or as good as you want to, but you've got to be able to play well enough to put your team in a winning position.
"It's awesome to be a part of this team and how much fight they have. We missed some stuff. I missed some throws. We weren't sharp in situations and we were sharp when we needed to be, which was good."
The Jaguars are 2-10 in their season following their win over the Giants, but remain in last place in the AFC South.
