The New England Patriots moved to 3-0 in the AFC East courtesy of a comfortable victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars at Gillette Stadium this evening.
Bill Belichick's team took the lead on the opening drive of the game as Tom Brady found Rob Gronkowski twice for 53 yards before the quarterback gave Dion Lewis the task of rushing for an eight-yard touchdown.
Stephen Gostkowski then kicked a field goal from 46 yards as the Pats built a healthy first-quarter lead.
Jason Myers and Gostkowski exchanged field goals before Blake Bortles was picked before half time, which helped set up the chance of another score on the stroke of the break for the Pats.
New England duly increased their lead as Brady found Danny Amendola with a one-yard pass - Brady's 400th career touchdown pass.
After Jacksonville had a pick on Brady ruled out for pass interference, LeGarrette Blount powered over from one yard.
The Jags pulled back a consolation score as Bortles found Allen Hurns for 59 yards, but Brady shrugged off pressure in the backfield to find Keshawn Martin in the endzone.
Blount then scored his second and third touchdowns of the game as New England ran out comfortable 51-17 victors, despite Clay Harbor's late effort for the Jags.
