The Miami Dolphins are reportedly ready to release cornerback Dimitri Patterson ahead of free agency.
The 30-year-old started the 2013 campaign as a defensive starter in Joe Philbin's side, but a groin injury limited him to just six games.
Patterson was due to earn $5.4m (£3.2m) for the 2014 season, but the club have chosen to cut the defensive back to save their budget for free agency, reports ESPN.
The cornerback recorded four interceptions and 19 tackles for the Dolphins last season.
