The Miami Dolphins cruise to a 37-0 shut out win over the San Diego Chargers in their NFL game at the Sun Life Stadium.

The San Diego Chargers have been shut out in their NFL game against the Miami Dolphins this evening, losing 37-0 at the Sun Life Stadium.

The Dolphins took the lead early on when Ryan Tannehill found Charles Clay out wide, and the tight end managed to get his feet in bounds on the edge of the endzone.

The home side extended their advantage at the start of the second quarter when Tannehill ran the ball down field before handing off to Lamar Miller for a rushing touchdown.

Caleb Sturgis added a couple of field goals before the break, one coming after Philip Rivers threw an interception while trying to find a way to get the Chargers on the board.

The Dolphins' dominance continued after the break when another Rivers interception gave Miami the ball inside San Diego territory, allowing Tannehill to connect with Rishard Matthews.

Brent Grimes picked off the Chargers quarterback again before the end of the first quarter, setting up Jarvis Landry for another Dolphins touchdown.

Rivers did not finish the game as the visiting side sent Kellen Clemens onto the field for the final quarter.

The backup could not help the AFC West side to avoid the shut out though, as neither side added to the score in the final 15 minutes.

The result leaves the Dolphins third in their division with a 5-3 record, while the Chargers drop to third in the AFC West with their fourth defeat of the season.
