Tony Romo has led the Dallas Cowboys to only their second road win of the season, holding off a brave fourth-quarter charge from the New York Giants for a 24-21 success at MetLife Stadium.
Dallas dominated the first half and looked in complete control of the all-NFC East clash at the break, building a 14-6 advantage courtesy of scores from Jason Witten and Jeff Heath, who returned a 50-yard fumble from Victor Cruz for the opening touchdown.
The Cowboys pushed further ahead in the third quarter as Romo found Witten for his second touchdown, but the Giants responded strongly to close the gap as Eli Manning picked out Brandon Myers to wriggle over the line soon after.
Manning found his range in the fourth quarter and drove up field with the help of running back Andre Brown, levelling the contest late on as Louis Murphy scored before Brown ran in a two-point conversion.
With four minutes still on the clock, Romo broke New York hearts with a composed drive towards field-goal position, which saw him knocked unconscious before Dan Bailey kicked a decisive 35-yard field goal between the posts in the final play.
