New York Jets kicker Nick Folk has stated that he would love to remain with the franchise ahead of next season.
Folk joined the Jets from the Dallas Cowboys in 2010, but he is due to become an unrestricted free agent next month and has admitted that contract negotiations between himself and the team are yet to materialise.
In an interview with NJ.com, Folk said: "I think it's just kind of going to be a little bit longer before anything happens with my deal. I want to keep all the options open, but, yeah, I've been there for four years now and I like it.
"I love playing for Rex, and this year with general manager John Idzik was awesome, it was a lot of fun. It's a good, young group of guys. My family really enjoy New Jersey and New York. So we'd love to stay; and I think they'd love to have us stay."
Folk converted 33 of his 36 field goal attempts in 2013, tying him for the 11th-highest percentage among NFL kickers.
